What Does It Mean to Be a Water Safety Ambassador?
As an RNLI Water Safety Ambassador, Powersport Marine is actively helping to reduce water-related incidents by promoting the RNLI’s trusted safety messaging. In our showroom, online, and within our rider community, we’ll be delivering clear, practical guidance — including how to Float to Live, how to choose the right leash for your paddleboard, and when to call for help.
You’ll see RNLI materials displayed in store, our team ready to discuss local water conditions and safety tips, and regular updates across our digital channels to keep safety top of mind for every rider.

4 Key RNLI Messages We’re Sharing
- Float to Live
If you fall into the water, tilt your head back, relax, and float. This helps control your breathing until you can be rescued. - Don’t Fight a Rip Current
Stay calm and swim parallel to the shore, or float and raise your hand to signal for help. - Be Tide Aware
Check tide times before you head out and carry a mobile phone in a waterproof pouch so you can call for help if needed. - Call the Right Help
In any coastal emergency, dial 999 or 112 and ask for the coastguard.
